Quickly recognizing the challenges of selling residential real estate in Seattle's depressed 1970 market, she returned to California and obtained her brokers license in record time. By age 20, she became one of the youngest women brokers in California. Throughout her career, Ms. Sawyer built an impressive client roster, representing major brands such as Marriott and Hilton Hotels, and establishing herself as a trusted leader in commercial real estate.
As the Chairman and CEO of AWIP, Matthew leads the strategic direction of the company, focusing on expansion and acquisitions in the commercial real estate sector. He manages a large volume of transactions and oversees a diverse portfolio of assets. He is dedicated to fostering a high-performing team, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, upholding corporate governance and promoting innovation. With his leadership and extensive industry expertise, Matthew has been instrumental in achieving AWIP’s strategic objectives.
